IFS Birth Preparation & Integration Sessions
Birth is not only a physical event, it’s an emotional, relational, and nervous-system experience.

After years of walking alongside families and birthing people, I’ve seen how much our inner world shapes birth outcomes. Unprocessed fear, past experiences, family patterns, and protective coping strategies often surface during pregnancy and labor — sometimes quietly, sometimes intensely.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) an evidcene based non-pathological model of counseling, offers a gentle, respectful way to meet these inner parts before birth.
Together, we create space to explore fears, strengthen internal trust, build resilience, and support a more grounded, connected transition into parenthood.

For the months of January, February & March, I’m offering a special introductory package for pregnant mothers:
3 IFS birth prep sessions for $150
These sessions are an opportunity to:
-
Prepare emotionally and mentally for birth
-
Address birth fears or previous birth experiences
-
Build inner safety and self-trust
-
Support nervous system regulation for labor and postpartum
-
Connect more deeply with your body, baby, and inner wisdom

This offering is for pregnant mothers who feel curious about the emotional layers of birth and want to prepare with intention, compassion, and depth.

SERVICES
SOFIA SCHEUERMAN
MIDWIFE CPM, LM
Since 2016, I’ve walked alongside birthing families across the world from hospital rooms in Texas to home births in Hawaii. I’m guided by a deep reverence for the sacred unfolding of life. My love for babies and the deep wisdom of birth led me to midwifery, where I’ve blended hands-on experience with training through the National College of Midwifery. I'm a Texas Licensed, certified professional midwife currently practicing in Austin.
After moving to Hawaii in 2019, my connection to the healing power of nature deepened, and my path expanded into the world of bodywork. I began specializing in infant craniosacral therapy, prenatal and postpartum massage. My work is about more than technique — it’s about presence, listening, and honoring the story each body holds. I believe that babies arrive already wise, and that with gentle, conscious touch, we can support their unfolding while nurturing parents in their own profound transformation.

WHAT IS INFANT CRANIOSACRAL?
Infant Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive bodywork technique that supports overall wholistic health of the newborn. I assess subtle layers of the fascia, membranes and cerebrospinal fluid surrounding and protecting the brain and spinal cord. During sessions I feel for and release restrictions in the craniosacral system. The idea is that even small imbalances in an infant’s body, especially after the physical pressures of birth, can lead to discomfort or physical challenges.

HOW CAN INFANT CRANIOSACRAL HELP MY BABY?

-
Difficult latch or breastfeeding challenges
-
Tongue-tie or feeding issues (often related to jaw or cranial tension)
-
Birth trauma (especially from long labors, C-sections, forceps, or vacuum deliveries)
-
Torticollis (head tilt or restricted neck movement)
-
Poor sleep
-
Colic, reflux, gas and digestion discomfort
"The calmness, confidence and kindness that Sofia embodies was very apparent to my husband and I when we first met her. These qualities, besides experience and knowledge which Sofia also has a wealth of, were very important to us in in the person we wanted attending and supporting us in the birth of our daughter. I had a fearless, natural, unmedicated and peaceful birth."
